no, the updates are free via the internet, the upgrades is what costs money...I have Internet Trader, and am happy with it...It you would like the formulas for 180 scans, MACD zero line crossover, or special MACD, let me know, I will cut and paste them for you...I have about 30 different scans but these three right now are my favorites... ILIF is a good popper buy in low 5's...
