Oriole Systems Inc - Oriole completes e-business software package Oriole Systems Inc OOL Shares issued 20,740,597 1999-12-15 close $0.28 Thursday Dec 16 1999 Mr. Frank Stama reports Oriole Systems has developed a complete turnkey e-business software package, which will be ready for resale in the first quarter of the year 2000. The software package will first perform e-business functions and eventually allow for all business functions in an enterprise to work together. For example, the software will Web enable and link CRM (customer relationship management) and supply chain systems. After more than a year of researching the tools required to develop superior Web-based solutions, Oriole is now ready to deliver E-Mart Design SW, the first complete e-business software package. The product will be for use with the e-merchant product from Magic Software and the Net.commerce software from IBM. This product will be launched on Oriole's own e-business site, www.mymart.net, also in the first quarter of the year 2000. Oriole will continue to deploy new Web sites as part of its strategy to provide consulting and software development services. This will enable Oriole to further develop products and services for the Internet by innovating existing applications such as order fulfilment in e-commerce by defining the database and critical functions. Oriole will be able to tailor its E-Mart Design SW package to its clients' needs by integrating products from both IBM and Magic Software. IBM and Magic Software, which have also partnered in some ventures, are world leaders in e-commerce business development and have been mentoring and supporting Oriole's developments. Oriole has very strong relationships with its partners. Most recently a solution architects team from IBM which has been working to complete the next phase of the MyMart.net site, agreed to review the E-Mart Design SW beta product. Previously Magic had bestowed OrioleSystems.com with its highest level of reseller agreement as Platinum VAR. Jan Bachmann, vice-president of research and development of OrioleSystems.com, said: "We are very advanced in our ability to deliver the right technology for both the traditional and the innovative use of the World Wide Web. We have accomplished this through extraordinary foresight over the last year, including planning for the Linux system deployment for e-commerce and through our partnership with the two industry leaders." He noted: "The closer bonding of IBM and Magic Software has put us dramatically ahead of our competitors. We also feel vindicated in the choices we made for this deployment now that IBM and many large European companies have made the same decisions. The Magic e-merchant development product will be displayed in Spazio Aperto, IBM's permanent exhibition center located in Milan and in IBM's AS/400 support centre in Ehningen, Germany. Frank Stama, chief executive officer of Oriole Systems.com, noted: "As a small Internet startup, Oriole's active co-operation and collaboration with IBM and Magic Software supplemented by the development of worldwide supplier relationships have positioned Oriole extremely well for the coming demand of e-business both on the products and services sides. Oriole can now provide unique and hard to get products on the Web and is poised to be a key e-business software supplier to medium to large companies. The growth and evolution is well timed as Y2K fears subside and the e-commerce revolution takes shape. (c) Copyright 1999 Canjex Publishing Ltd. canada-stockwatch.com
