Hi Margaret, The pick up line I used when I first met my wife was not anything I said by word but it was by music. She was way back then working as a waitress in a little restaurant in a mall. Baldwin Piano Company was displaying and demonstrating one of their instruments at the restaurant and I went to see the person who was playing there since I knew her from another place. When I was there a few minutes the woman playing the piano asked me if I would play something. I sat down and played my own arrangement of Chopin's Nocturne in E-flat and to my surprise this women who would later become my wife stood mesmerized by my playing. I always thank God, get many kind compliments about the way I play but this was just a real flatter to my ego. I later walked over to her and decided that I would really make an impression and began telling some of my jokes. I fell flat on my face as she thought they were stupid and rediculous and I did not see her for almost a month afterwards. Well I went back there almost a month later and I did not tell her any more jokes but before long we were dating and the rest is history.
