IDS Wins Significant New Order

Repeat order for 39 units demonstrates the market's demand for IDS's advanced sensory products & solutions
IDS Intelligent Detection Systems Inc., (TSE: ISD) announced today that its Analytical and Security Division has received a new order for 39 EVD-3000 portable hand-held explosive detection devices from an overseas client. This same client had already purchased EVD-3000 units earlier in the year for deployment in mission-critical operations.

The EVD-3000 handheld explosives detector is capable of sensing both traces and vapors of commercial and military explosives -- including Semtex. It delivers results in 10 seconds making it a powerful weapon in the ongoing battle against terrorism and violence around the world.
