A woman called into a local talk show on Pearl Harbor day and claimed she was on the beach when it happened. The thing she said that interested me was that all military dependants had been ordered to evacuate Hawaii the week before but she had refused to go. I wonder if this is true. If so, it would indicate the military knew something bad was immanent which makes their relaxed posture when it actually did happen seem very perplexing.
