conference and exhibition that concludes today in New York City, was attended by over 3,000 corporate developers, web developers, system
architects, IT managers and system administrators. Keynote and panel presenters included Bob Young, co-founder, CEO and Chairman of

In The Bazaar's opening keynote presentation, Richard Stallman, President of the Free Software Foundation, described the plight that he and
other IT professionals faced in the early eighties when proprietary software stalled the progress to support diverse architectures and multiple
languages. Bob Young, co-founder, CEO and Chairman of Red Hat, Inc., presented his keynote presentation on how Red Hat revolutionized
the software industry by redefining its business model with value added services.

Robert Ferber, founder of OpenSales, presented success stories from Open Source companies including Red Hat, VA Linux Systems,
LinuxCare, SendMail and Cygnus Solutions. Jon "Maddog" Hall, executive director of Linux International, presented the history of the Free
Software and Open Source software initiatives. Ralph Nader, consumer advocate, presented a keynote address titled "The Age of the Wired,"
which shared his thoughts on anti-trust cases, Internet privacy and e-commerce. Michael Cowpland, President and CEO of Corel Corporation,
described his company's plans to spearhead the low cost PC market with Corel Linux.
