The article said the die size of DDR is only 5% bigger than SDRAM and RAMBUST was 10-15% larger. On top of that RAMBUS has no manufacturing ability and wants hefty royalties on top of that. Micron, on the other hand has a real big manufacturing facility up thar in spud country and has been making .18u RAM chips for quite a while now... If the architecture is open...DDR should blow RAMBUST to the bowels of niche-dom. Jim
