I did. I PM'd Voltman and Jim and I had a conference call on it. Not that I give a damn about getting credit around here.

ah...found it...

A powerful stream of morning sunlight sailed across my face as I rolled over, dangling my arm over the edge of the couch. I opened my eyes, squinting through the glare, in an attempt to find the clock.

Seven something in the morning. Gotta clean up this damn place so I can see the whole clock for a change.
The coffee cup was still sitting in the microwave when I finally made it downstairs. I thought about zapping it again, but deferred to the fresh bag of coffee beans across the counter. While preparing the coffee maker, I hummed one of the old coffee ad jingles they used to play on TV when I used to watch it as a kid.

It's insane how this stuff stick's in your head. Best thing I ever did was get rid of that television set.
"House, how's it feel to be a TV free zone?" I asked the kitchen. It didn't answer back.

I had thrown a large chunk of granite through my set's tube as it sat staring at me the afternoon I moved from my previous home three years ago. The electronic gadget was minding its own business on the floor of the garage as I was loading the last boxes into my truck. It was tuned in to some business show. I figured it could keep me company on my last day. The useless pontifications became instead a focus of my frustration over being in the situation I had found myself. The resulting implosion of granite meeting glass was cathartic.

I walked outside with my coffee and the strong scent of sage stung my senses like perfume from a long, lost love. I closed my eyes and pulled in a huge volume of minty air; black sage, white sage, sagebrush; the redolent sage, refreshing memories like a thousand little pictures falling out of an old, family album.
