Well, since I still own this dog, I certainly hope it turns out to be fertilizer!!!

WFR does owe most of its debt to VEBA, who waived interest payments until the end of 2000. VEBA is a huge company and could take the debt writeoff, which would definately make WFR more attractive, I just don't know who would buy them. Really, if VEBA wanted to unlock the value of this company, they would not have announced the sale until it was imminent, but who says they are smart or saavy.

I think WFR's results will continue to improve with the semi markets, but a possible sale might overshadow any good news on the earnings front. I think this market fears a take-under, as I do.
