<<Ameritrade Offers Customers Instant Funding of New or Existing Accounts Via the Internet>>

<<This is where it's going....CKFR can't be far behind>>

I've got to believe that CKFR is "behind the scenes" with Troy and Equifax.

There was an announcement a few months ago about the tie up of Troy and Equifax

biz.yahoo.com

<<The eCheck Secure(TM) procedure is user-friendly. The customer places the order and inputs the check information online. Next, the check information is authenticated and verified before the funds are guaranteed by Equifax. >>

<<Subsequently, the e-merchant prints the guaranteed Internet check transaction and matches it with the order. The goods or services are then shipped immediately to the customer. The check will be presented through the merchant's normal banking channels.>>

<<TROY Group will receive a transaction-based fee comparable to current credit card fees used over the Internet for this service. Consumer and merchant transactions will be protected with the latest encryption technology and will be authenticated by Equifax. >>

-CKFR uses Troy equipment to print paper checks

-EFX (located in Atlanta) is probably the information source that CKFR uses to decide whether to put their own funds at risk when choosing between an ACH transaction and paper check

-the Troy solution requires printing a paper check at the merchant site; wouldn't it be much nicer if CKFR did an ACH transfer from the consumer's account into Ameritrade's account?
