Kevin, I am an IT consultant and worked on Y2K remediation at a major bank. A lot of purchasing that would have normally taken place in the next 18 months due to organic growth and upgrades has already happened and is happily humming away in data centers. Many clients used Y2K as opportunity to dump old systems and slide the cost into the big Y2K budgets.
