Charles - <I know something is bugging you. You are a lot less relaxed of late. But, "inaccuracies"? - Are you fudging? My data is probably a couple of weeks old. My knowledge is second hand there are information delays. If things have become slightly better in the mean time I can understand.

I am reporting what I hear. You can't say what you want to say - I can understand. But, if you have to say what someone else is posting is "crap" then I would back it up, if I were you.>

I'm going to take a moment to respond to this....

The bin split number you posted (<1%) for 800 on the "current stepping" was flat wrong. No I'm not going to give you a specific #, but the 1% number is ridiculous. Yes, that number being posted bugged me. As for "needing" another stepping, consider this: Isn't there usually always another stepping in the wings. If Cumine ships 800's on another stepping, maybe one thing is just coincident with the other, get it? Actually, I believe Intel will ship 800's on both the current stepping, and the next one.

As for all the other stuff about your source, yeah, he/she bugs me too. It's like your being fed watercooler talk. The stuff is riddled with, yes, inaccuracies, specifically regarding Coppermine. Your source has been far more accurate on other Intel topics.

As for my attacks on his/her leaking, well, I've learned to let that go. Yes, he/she is violating his/her NDA. I suppose it happens all the time.

I did want to at least get a response in to this. I will probably not be able to take this up again for a couple of weeks. My apologies. Go ahead and respond, and I'll get to it when I can.
