Tom,
I stumbled on this thread recently and I really like that such a fine TA method is actively discussed on SI. I use Tom de Mark sequential myself. If You need software support for this concept, let me point out that Supercharts 4.0 from Omega Research also includes this study, not only their comparatively expensive Trade Station product. Supercharts 4.0 is available as an end of day (approx 300$) or a realtime (approx. 700$) version. You can look these up on the web, as well as the Trade Station product under URL: omegaresearch.com.

Also I have been using Japanese candlestick TA, especially for the timing signals they provide. A good product for this topic, one that also containts Tom de Mark studies in itself (!!) is "THE CANDLESTICK FORECASTER MASTER EDITION" for DOS or the "SAMURAI EDITION" for Windows and Win95, produced by IPTC. Their URL is: iptc.com.

BTW: I successfully identified near-market bottom situations on ADTN, ASND and CYRIX. However, when a decline is very strong (ASND for example) we might get a signal for the weekly data series also. What do You do if You get a BUY13 signal for daily data but the countdown for the weekly series is not yet ended but instead approx. at Count #3 (like the case with ASND right now) ?

Greetings,
CROSSY
