RE:This puts a very heavy emphasis on the performance of the disk subsystem and a pretty strong emphasis on the internal buses, but no so much on the processor, It is well known that SUNW does not make disk drives. So SUNW disk subsystems are other peoples products at best repackaged. I note that SUNW is cutting a deal with Storage systems for subsystems. The rest of the technology is industry standard ,e.g., RAID. According to you your applications do not depend on SPARC technology. So you have no real legs to stand your argument on. :)
