Once you take away phony banner-swap revenue, and interest income, i don't believe there is a single internet play besides AOL that has actually made a single dime. Even AOL still has around 500 million in accumulated tax-loss carryforwards. So technically, they've never made a dime either. The only guys we know have made a profit are Intel and Microsoft. Cisco used to, but these days the vast majority of their profits come through aquisition related write-offs, so there's no way to tell anymore. Well, also, the porn websites make cash hand over fist, which is why none of them have bothered to IPO.
