We are on different tracks here. I love competition. I belong to an on-line chess club. I consider myself fortunate when someone who is better than me and still willing to play me is on-line. Win or lose I have a good time. I believe in good sportsmanship and think everyone involved benefits. Losing at chess isn't a case of being oppressed or having someone else's will imposed over mine. I play to win and figure when I lose I am a better player if I can see why. This is vastly different than ego trips for the simple goal of belittling someone else or for personal gain when others suffer.
