4-Bob underwriters are making more money for the companies of the IPO's. This is good for the companies because they can grow faster with a bigger war chest. The underwriters still make out good as the result of heavy interest.

It also makes the underwriters look good for the next company that wants to go public.

BTW what are you going to call the FreeMarket IPO that priced more tripple the original range?
