Sue,

I respectfully disagree that the Z Portfolio doesn't have any value just because it doesn't exactly mimic anybody's personal portfolio. I never buy a stock for the Z Portfolio unless I think it's a good buy and I never sell one unless I think it's a good sell. Most of the time, I buy a stock for my own account and simultaneously post a Z trade. Sometimes I see what I think is a good trading opportunity, but don't do the trade in my own account because I don't have enough free cash or am working other trades. In these cases, I still post it as a Z trade because somebody else might be interested in it. Other times I'm holding a stock in my own account and the Z portfolio, but I trade out of my personal position to buy something that I like better for a short term trade. If the Z doesn't need the cash and I still like the stock, I don't make the trade in the Z portfolio. Sometimes I day trade a stock in my personal account that I bought for the Z portfolio, but I don't post the sale for the Z portfolio because we are trying to limit day trades here. The bottom line is that an idea is an idea even if I'm not holding it in my own account. For the most part, my personal trades mimic my trades in the Z portfolio, but I can't guarantee that this will always be the case. I don't think this diminishes the value of posting ideas here.

Dan
