Netopia R9100 progress to date...

Had to cancel my original order with "Micromatics". Although they showed 10 in stock, they were backordering. Then they told me that Netopia was discontining the model. My guess is they quoted a price under their cost and decided to BS rather than fill.

Ordered from onsale for @$500 ... $100 over "Micromatics."

Unit arrived 3:50 today (tie with the school bus). I've got it up and running, but only 2 of 4 PCs able to access the cable modem. And I haven't been able to figure out the significant difference between the have and have nots.

The TCP/IP properties are set up according to spec:
IP Address: automatically
DSN Configuration: disable
But 2 work and 2 don't. Of the two that do work, 1 is plugged into the 9100 (win98se), the 2nd is a win95 plugged into a hub that is uplinked to the 9100.

The IE connection settings are to get the inet from the lan.

Scratching my head,
