Howard

I'd like you to be the first to know that as of 6:22 am EST this morning I am looking at all three scsi devices being shown in my Explorer:))) My SCSI BIOS is enabled AND installed, everything was recognized with no error messages!!! The two 50 pin devices are on their own cable/ribbon and the U2W hdd is alone on its own ribbon.

You'll never guess what the problem was. The longer IDC 50 pin ribbon that I needed to use to reach the inside/outside adapter>the CD>the mobo connector does not have a little key on its female connectors to insure it is being properly orientated on its male counterpart. I simply reversed the connection at the mobo and...bingo! The shorter IDC 50 ribbon I have has this key but was always too short to reach up to the CD then back down to the mobo.

That was a lesson well learned. Hope this simple solution to a nagging problem will be kept in mind by all in the future. ie Don't buy cheap ribbons without an orientation key.
