Runner:

Glad that the talking heads were polite to Dr. Ed. He certainly gets my forebearance award for the way publications like the Wall Street Journal have been taking swipes at him. There was some op/ed piece last week that actually called him 'naughty'. Geesh. He has, and always will have, my greatest respect for risking so much to do the research and give people his honest opinion.

I walked into a meeting the other day and took a lot of ribbing from my friends about my concerns about Y2K. I was never a doomer. And, like Dr. Ed, I haven't changed my mind one bit. But the forces of denial are amazingly strong. And I didn't like feeling as though I were back in third grade.

By the way, my friends and family are politely asking me to help them remediate their PCs and check the status of cell phones, appliances, etc. And I am politely helping them.

Here's to Ed Yardeni!

Christine
