If his glasses are rose colored than you must be wearing blinders. By anyone's definition, selling puts is a bullish strategy. Why? Because (ceteris paribus) the VALUE of your short position RISES when the stock price rises, and FALLS when the stock price falls.

Face it, your cobwebby brain is telling you to go long AMD but your two-sizes-too-small heart is telling you that that would be Intellabee sacrilege. The compromise between the two is your short put strategy.
