OTM puts as an alternative
The last time I did a significant sell of puts was for EMC earlier in the year. The very day before they expired the stock dropped dramactly and they were put to me. Fortunatly EMC is a good company and I still have those shares at a profit but it was very nervwracking at the time. I did sell some Intel puts expiring this month but I have more knowledge about Intel's activities than Tyco's. As of now I have 5 contracts of Jan 2001 $35 calls for Tyco.
