Speaking of prepositions, a few hours ago I read a draft of an English paper by Ben, my older, and found a number of usage errors that jarred my "ear," some of them involving prepositions. Do you know of any source that lists, or explains, which prepositions go with which verbs? Why do we say "illustrative OF" but "conducive TO"?
