I just made a ton of Trash, that wonderful Chex cereal, melted butter, chocolate and peanut butter, and confectioner's sugar. I love that stuff. I like all those easy things, that you can make a lot of without fussing. I give to all the neighbors, not that they give back, but since I am a rotten reclusive person all year long, it makes me feel a little better to do that at Christmas. You never know when you might need someone in an emergency.
But I make the boys deliver it so I don't have to talk.
My mother used to make bourbon balls, and my father would get mad when all his bourbon was gone. She'd tell him to eat the bourbon balls instead, but he said it wasn't the same.
Dan makes peanut brittle in the microwave every year for everyone at work. It's the only thing he can make, but he makes a lot of it. We go through a gallon of Karo syrup. I'm sure his employees would rather have money.
