Yes, the phase noise is the inhibitor however integrated circuitry is improving very quickly with much progress in producing lower phase noise levels. That is a future concern of mine.
Currently, I have confidence in the ability the company has regarding the higher end of the VCO market in their domination in base stations and like the fact they are targeting the internet market but little has been said on the low end of the market other than the deal with GEMS. The lower end of the market(handsets)is a higher growth rate market and lower margined but I feel the progress of the company has been lagging in this area esp. when listening to conference calls and their vague responses on the issue. What is hampering them in this market? Capacity restraints, some other player has a more competitive price point on the low end. Robert can you share your knowledge of what VARL's market share in the handset market and the reasons why they are not higher and the amount of idle capacity?
I am not negative but believe the stock is slightly ahead of itself even with the correction from 29.
