I have mixed feelings about M. Kugler, but ultimately he definitely has the right to post without being harrased and in every case I've seen where he threw mud at a stock, a good discussion both pro and con has resulted.
That being said, he picks his negative information very selectively, and words his posts in such a way that leads you to believe the worst - without really "lying" he posts tainted information while always leaving room to back track. He was beating on SYCR a while back, when it was at a low $2.50 or so a share. It shot up to $3.50 since, I'm sure to the dismay of anyone who listened to him and got out. Did he do this to obtain shares at a better price? He's a broker, so it's possible. If he did, he pulled it off pretty well. He steadfastly maintains that nothing he posts could ever effect the stock price, and anyone who believes SI posters influence prices positively or negatively is suffering from delusions of self importance. I strongly disagree with this opinion of his, but it's hard to prove.
Of course he's right that dilution will be bad for the stock price. Why he thinks stockholders this year should refuse to buy in light of next years dilution, I don't know. Of course it's a factor, but the company could handle it a number of ways before then, and they are going to be in a lot better position to circumvent a massive share dump when they are the profitable, growing enterprise that they seem like they will be next year.
So I don't know if Mike is clean, but since such enlightening, solid discussions follow his provocative posts, I appreciate him in a weird way. Of course, I'd rather have him be objective with pros and cons, but if it's gotta be cons only, better that they see the light of day and get resolved. At least he's smart and his posts have substance.
