Randy, Intel investors, Windows 2000 Server looking good to PC Week, some points:

1. Says it's twice as fast as NT 4.0 in some cases. Will this push for faster CPUs, upgrades?

2. They named one feature after Intel...IntelliMirror, NOT! But, they could have called it GatesMirror or something.

3. Mentions Intel's LANDesk.

4. W2000 won PC Weeks' Lab Analyst's Choice Award.

If this thing is as good as it's sounding, could be a lot of upgrades to it, and it could pull through hardware upgrades also.

Oh, they used a quad Compaq 7000 series server (DEC, couldn't tell if it had Pentium Pros or Alphas!). Couldn't they afford a newer machine? Read for yourself:
