Kaiser cools to Canabrava -- check back in a few months

John Kaiser, writing in the Bottom-Fish Action for the week of Dec. 6-10,
is less enthusiastic about Canabrava Diamond these days, in spite of its
gains. That is because the 80-cent stock is slow with information and
probably will not offer any significant developments for another six
months. Mr. Kaiser recommended Canabrava in December, 1998, at 54 cents,
saying it stood a reasonable chance of making a 500-per-cent gain. In the
current report, Mr. Kaiser notes that Canabrava has granted a six-month
extension to SouthernEra Resources for the completion of a $1-million
private placement in Canabrava as part of its option to earn 50 per cent of
the Canabrava project in Brazil. The deal calls for SouthernEra to spend
$20-million (U.S.) over seven years. Mr. Kaiser says an update is due
shortly, but he does not think it will include any earth-shattering
developments. There is also a new project in the Superior craton in Canada.
Initial results are expected in March with a summer program expected to
follow.
