SGI --

Want to throw out a stock to get some opinions:

I am looking into SGI - this thing has been getting killed by the street. Recently rallied from 5 year (yes FIVE YEAR) low of $7 only to be hammered back down below $10 again. According to some DD i did, and the company filing, SGI holds a strong portfolio of VA LINUX and MIP Technology stocks worth about $8 to $12 per SGI share. There is also a possibility of SGI spinning off the super-computer division, Cray computer. As most know, SGI has not done well in the workstation business, but as internet get more graphic and video oriented, it's product could come back into favor, along with the stock.

I feel the downside is $7, which is the 5 year low.

Appreciate any and all opinions.
