E. Davis... I have over $35,000 in short term capital gains this year. :) Thanks for your advice but I have sold some of my losers to offset this gain not just as a loss. By the way if you had a losing year you can only write off $3,000 in losses and carry over the rest to the next tax year. I look at my penny portfolio on 1/1/99 and 1/1/2000. With two weeks to go I am up 250%(3« times my capital on 1/1/99) for the year in my pennies even with BNEZ. I have no complaints(I take responsibility for all my investments) and that's why I diversify.(I am now holding 23 penny stocks) I still have all those spin-off shares too.
