I read the material that Neocon cited which purported to be pro-spanking, and could find little or nothing to actually recommend the practice. Do you think it is fair that adults determine hard and fast rules for any human interaction simply because they are bigger and stronger? Do you think that there are any babies or children who would advocate being hit as an effective tool to teach them to be loving and respectful beings? What are we actually balancing when we become violent towards others? I can think of nothing at all. It is an interaction only in the most gross way of defining the word.
