Throughput on Web services was decreased compared with NT 4.0, but this helps to prevent a crippling load from occurring on the server.

You know, I'm not sure anybody really even cares anymore, Eric. The world is a different place now than what M$ made it's promises to years ago. I've not read of anyone waiting anxiously for the new new Windows, promises or no promises.

It's just not relevant beyond needing the documentation to the legacy desktop APIs.

Redmond could sink into the Pacific at this point and it just wouldn't matter. I'm sure there aren't windows lit through the night at Sun with worries of favorable Solaris comparisons to Windows or any competitive threat from Microsoft.
