***** Perhaps this is the wrong approach: I just got a PM that pisses me off. Again, shorts are at the heart of the matter.
We, regardless of long or short, are here for one reason ..... to make money. Why is it that the character of many shorters is that directly opposed to any common decency to fellow traders. The online trading/investing game has attracted many new traders, and experienced traders alike. And it is a damn shame that those inexperienced multitudes, seeking only to capitalize in this new paradigm, end the game with nothing to show for it except empty pockets, and questions as to why these people (shorters) are so negative and seemingly offensive.
I am the first one to admit that shorting should hold a place in everyone's discipline, but please people remember that most traders are largely inexperienced and will suffer the consequences at the hands of your ruthless ambition. Experienced traders will know when to fold up and sell, while the inexperienced watch in horror as their issue, and their money, crumble away. Short your stock, allow the natural selection process to take its toll without your help ..... a bad stock will fall in time. But ..... no one, except the professional short, gets hurt if a stock runs higher. Must you really be so self driven, selfish, and without feeling?
True, no one should be in the market that isn't prepared to lose money. But, we all no that is a fantasy, we all chase the almighty dollar, and it is the character of most to want to participate in that which many have found success in.
Many shorts revel in pummeling a stock, and those that own it, into submission, laughing all the while the person is simply asking why? what happened? You don't have to sit and read the PM of someone that has lost all their money and doesn't know how he/she is going to pay their bills now. You don't have to supportively instruct the individual the harsh reality of the game and why "shorts" are to be feared, whether they have cause to be shorting the issue or not. And you obviously don't have the feeling and emotion necessary to try and help, rather than destroy. You take pride in playing the bad guy.
This is not a message to all shorts as I know many of you that are objective and constructive. But to those of you that cannot see beyond the two-dimensions of this type of forum, into the reality of the situation, those of you that take pride in taking others money not unlike common thugs, and to those of you that lack common human emotion, empathy, and decency, perhaps it is time to reevaluate your actions. Yet, to whom this applies, you will no doubt not see anything wrong with your actions ....... because you will not have to answer the PMs that I do.
Please share this on other threads where you feel appropriate, where you feel that perhaps even one person may be affected.
Is it so tough to really try to help create, rather than destroy?
