You may indeed know more about faith than many.
You are wise to see the experience of receiving faith in light of what "actually" occurred in your own life.
Many men get saved by God and then get "taught" what happened after. Those men are not teachers sent from God but thieves and authors of confusion.
Jesus went to the Apostles and "CALLED" them. Peter was fishing for fish not looking for the Messiah. Peter did not "sense" some void in his life. Men do not know how empty their lives are until they understand what "full" is.
Do not let men steal what really happened. God saved you not merely made a way for you to save yourself.
Don't let the devil or anyone else talk you into thinking you helped in any way.
It is after we are saved that we are called to "effort" not our efforts that save.

Amen.. You were saved in spite of yourself period... your wicked heart and dead flesh and sinful being.
Jesus saves us FROM ourselves not through ourselves.

True Conversion is a spiritual "Creature" being a completely NEW BEING... not patching up the old carnal flesh.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Circumcision = Any religious effort in the FLESH:
Galatians 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

I only know that when faith takes a foothold on a person,
it permeates everything about that person
