Jordex Stock Moves Up On No News, Investors Speculate
Jordex Resources [V.JDX] saw its share price bypass a 52-week high in
intra-day trading, touching the C$1.73 mark and remaining there to market
close. Posters to the JDX forum were perplexed by the stock action and
offered various reasons. 'fsji4k' suggested the high volume buying by
Canaccord Capital and Yorkton Securities was due to the two "...maybe
positioning themselves for news in the New Year...". 'Keith Massey'
hazarded a more cautious guess: "This is not normal action for the
stock...Canaccord wanted their stock bad. Just a guess, but I think today
is going to be a big day... maybe someone knows something about Monday?"
But 'BAMitchell' summed it up best by wondering if today's stock action "is
a response to Keith's mailing his DD...(2) is a response to the upcoming
Medsite IPO -somebody knows something the public [does] not...(3) WE got a
leak and there will be news on Monday...[or] (4) promo has finally started.
Who knows? But next week will answer some of these questions."
