(OT) Thanks, Loe...
The family is fine, thanks. In fact, Dad turned 90 on Thanksgiving Week... And we had a nice celebration for him. As he's gotten older, it seems he loves to laugh more than ever. Or is it that this family of accidental comedians is growing more laughable as time goes by? It was the first time in ten years that all the family members were in one room... scheduling us is like herding cats.
I hope you have a wonderful holiday up in OK (at least, I think that's where you said you could see bobwhites.) No whippoorwills to speak of. Saw a grey fox the other night. We had a West Texas dust storm blow through Austin last week. And, last night, I was enjoying some holiday treats at a place called The Caucus Club, which in the Lyndon Johnson era, was quite a hangout for state politicos. Now, it's a kind of genteel dive... drafty, creaky, imported-beer-y, fun.
