Bud you have just described "Scalping" which is selling into your own hype and spam. Now as long as the information is accurate you have been putting out then you have done nothing wrong and taking a gain at some point is your business.

"P&D" is when a massive campaign of false or twisted information is desseminated whether it be shares from the company or a front running group etc. sell into their Pump(Falsehoods)directly causing the fall (Dump)...

"Scalping" is the same but the information dessiminated is accurate.

Both require "Spamming" which is OT posts and unwelcomed intrusions on boards or emails. Most of the time it is through numerous emails newletter type scenarioes.

Individuals who communicate though requested or welcomed emails is not considered spamming ... Buying on the floor talking about the potential and current events then taking profit or gains is what the market is about. If somebody bought AVBC at .35 and sold half or even all at $1.00 and is not associated with the paid promotion then whether they are highly pro or not makes no difference. If you feel the run has a solid underlying basis and you feel it is not going to hold but retract to say .50 and you like the stock then playing it is not against ethics. Mutual funds and protfolio managers do it all the time.

CNBC even states most people do not know when to take profits and that means selling for a gain. Position trading is retaining a core and playing or trading with part of your holdings.

Scalping and P&D are deliberate and intentional. Investing or trading is another side of the coin all together.

Now I have tons of CBQI and I have not sold a share. I am at a solid 3-4 bagger ... I should take some profit or gain wouldn't you agree. However, I believe it to be a real winner in the year 2000 so why sell it at this level.

There is a thin line between investing and trading and those two being P&D and Scalping.

This is why each individual is responsible for doing their own DD. I do not get upset for people taking a profit. If I do not then that is each investor's buisness. IF they do that is their business also.

:-)
