Don't know if this will help, but here goes. In my experience, SGI make the best graphic products in the UNIX arena, but they have not been able to capitalize on that. I'm in IT for oil and gas exploration and they use SGI for their very high end machines for displaying 3-D data. Unfortunately, they have been a terrible investment over the years. Great products, but a bad business plan, I guess. Who knows, it may be turnaround time.
