I don't think the 820 supports more than 2 RIMMs. That was the infamous "3 doesn't work" problem, that caused the mobo makers to have to go to 2 max. The 3rd slot was capped, in other words, made "out of bounds", at least for now. The 840 does support 4 RIMMs, I think.
