Sadly, I think it's already happened Neo. When I volunteer at the local pre-school invariably one of the young boys (who's father has recently gone to sea) will want to snuggle up to me. It's very natural for a young boy of 4 or 5 to miss his father and want to play in that sort of rough-house but loving way with another man. I know I've felt uncomfortable at times hugging or snuggling with a strangers child on my lap because of all the intrusions by government agencies such as CPS (Child Protection agency) and the horror stories I've witnessed over the last decade. So far, I've tried to fight these thoughts and take the risk that parents in our area aren't fenatical fearmongers regarding men and young boys hugging. But I'll admit, it's not easy sometimes. I imagine many men feel the same way at parks and such when young girls and boys come and want to play with them. So, we have already lost some love as a society because of swinging the pendulum too far and giving away our constitutional freedoms to agencies with virtually no watchdogs over them, such as CPS.
