Noticed Marconi (Has Fore) got 1 billion dollar order this week for fiber to curb based broadband / ATM stuff. Clear rejection by Bell South of copper / 3DSL type approach. I think the 3DSL product is at best a niche, and that what Bell South is doing may be a harbinger for what other Bells do as cable TV used by T becomes reality. NN used to have a great partnership relationship with Bell South, but I don't know what happened to it.
