It's still faster most of the time than QCharts version.
Very interesting that a Java applet could be faster than a direct program. I'd guess maybe it has to do with the speed/quality of the net connection you have to ISLD. I'm still stuck at 56k.

When I use the ISLD book from the web site it updates roughly every 2-3 seconds and is often 3-4 seconds behind qcharts. I've found that a steady flow of information is important to me, occasional snapshots can be very misleading.

The whole beauty of seeing the ISLD book is that it tends to be predictive of the rest of the market by a few seconds. Also the ISLD inside bid and ask seen on L2 is about 2-3 seconds behind the book.

Before I had the ISLD book I could never understand why I could not hit the ISLD order. Now I see that often it is gone *before* it appears on L2 (and before it appears on the ISLD java viewer too).
