Interesting article from Inter@ctive Investor about wavelength routers, lambda routers, optical cross-connects from Ciena, Corvis, Lucent, Monterey and Nortel. zdii.com "Nortel plans to create a common control mechanism by integrating its routers, switches and optical networking gear under a single management system, optical only companies like Ciena, Monterey and Sycamore are fusing the two worlds through routing protocols." Article does not describe which approach Corvis is taking.
