I certainly agree that this is the next big wave, although I?m not sure that I?ll put the word next in there?the wave is already here.

A great example is a company we have invested in called Chemdex (Nasdaq:CMDX). This is a public entity, in which we were the first professional investors, and actually helped launch the company.

It is a great example of how B-to-B is already here but it is also a great example of how it developed less quickly than the business to consumer (B-to-C) segment. Consumer adoption can be generated through advertising or banner ads. B-to-B adoption requires calling, for example in the case of Chemdex, calling on a company like Genentech. It requires a direct sales force interaction and the switching sources and suppliers is not as simple as it is for consumers. Procurement in a business setting requires a longer adoption cycle.
