The NASDAQ composite has been on a constant increase line
for the last 8 weeks starting on 10/22. Both the group sum
of the 36 semi-equips and the SOX-X have been climbing as
well, but not as consistently. The following table shows
the difference in weekly gains.

GRP WK % NDQ WK % SOX WK %
DATE SUM GAIN GAIN GAIN GAIN GAIN
10/22/99 1013 2817 514
10/29/99 1113 10 2966 5 556 8
11/05/99 1218 9 3102 5 621 12
11/12/99 1315 8 3221 4 656 6
11/19/99 1311 0 3369 5 654 0
11/26/99 1285 -2 3448 2 638 -2
12/03/99 1359 6 3521 2 658 3
12/10/99 1341 -1 3620 3 633 -4
12/17/99 1335 0 3753 4 639 1
TOT % GAIN 32 33 24

The action during the last 4 weeks has been very strange.
Since 11/19, the group sum is up 2 percent, the NDQ is up
11 percent, and the SOX-X is down 2 percent.

Anyone have any guess as to what will happen next week?
