BHEL bags Rs. 15 crore order from U.S. subsidiary

NEW DELHI: Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd has bagged an order worth Rs. 15 crore from Ingersoll Rand, U.S. company's subsidiary Dressers Rand, to manufacture 12 synchronous and induction motors of 3950 kw rating.

BHEL would manufacture these units at its Bhopal plant. The state-owned company had already executed an order forthe supply of synchronous motors to Oil and Natural Gas Commission's Santhal project, BHEL said in a release. The company also manufactures AC and DC machines of ratings upto 30,000 kw at its plants in Bhopal and Haridwar. BHEL has exported AC and DC machines to a number of countries including France, Japan, Libya, Malaysia, Kenya and Egypt, reports PTI.
