That is certainly a dreadful thing to contemplate. The onset of my cousin's Alzheimer's was about a year after I had seen him at a family funeral, during which we had had a fine reminiscence. It was spooky to think that someone who, on that occasion, had been so vital and full of memories should have suddenly required institutionalization.....
