I have no idea what this sentence means- except that you find the discussion ludicrous.

Children belong to society as we all belong to society. I was trying to get across the point that parents are fitting their children FOR the world- what we do to them affects (for the most part) people outside of our family- because whey children grow up they have more interactions with non-family members than they do with their parents.

So if a parent does a horrible job on their child and then releases them in the world many other people will suffer, and mostly people who had nothing to do with raising the child. THAT was the point I was making.
