Gary: Re: "I was surprised to hear Bob come out and say he's personally heavily weighted in technology and has a high tolerance for risk and volatility--but only because some listeners could take this as a suggestion that they should do the same."

Good point.

Re: "Bob has emphasized risk management through diversification because this is more appropriate for the vast majority of listeners who have not achieved critical mass."

Tongue-in cheek:

Yeah, well what about the majority of his audience who are saving for retirement and are not at critical mass. What about us? Is Bob's personal approach too good for us? Let it ride, baby. Technology is the future. Bob is a gunslinger tech. junkie and I want to be like Bob. What is wrong with that? You think he achieved critical mass by this diversification stuff? He probably has been riding high in tech. since day one while I have been lagging with this diversified mutual fund. No wonder he is at critical mass and I am just a working stiff. If he is betting his critical mass on tech., then I want to ride with him. Forget about all that "get rich slowly" stuff. That is for the patsy chump who can't handle volatility. Same for that diversification stuff. I can handle it, baby. Bring it on. So if Brinker is riding in the fast lane with a mid 60s bull/bear sentiment reading and a put/call chart off the scale and a valuation metric never before seen in any market, then he must see something. He is not risking his critical mass without reason. He is no fool. And in the meantime, I am missing out with this 15% crap of a return when compared with the Naz. Maybe he has better visibility than we all might imagine. Listen to that B2B talk on the program; look at his site. B2B is the rage. It is a hot topic on his site all the time. B2B is flying and I am loading up on it just like Bob is probably doing personally. I can read between the lines. <VBG>
